Epping Library – week of July 30th

Epping’s Summer Reading Program continues until August 17th kids from preschool to middle school are being asked to “Dream Big, Read!”. So far this summer they have created fireworks for the ceiling, explored creatures of the night and have filled their ‘dream bubbles’ on the walls with aspirations for the future! After a week of fun olympic challenges, the last theme week will focus on the night sky. On Thursday, August 2nd star-gazers of all ages are invited to join Miss Tracie for “Marshmallows and the Moon”. Weather permitting we will have a small campfire behind the library for roasting marshmallows while watching for the full moon to rise. Inside the children’s room there will be a back-up ‘campfire’ and moon crafts just in case it’s too wet (or dry) for a fire outside.

Curious about the progress on the new library plans? Tune into EpTV on channel 22 Wednesday, August 1st at 7 pm to watch the Building Committee’s meeting and see the most recent drawings from the architect. The plan should be finalized this fall, after another public forum in September for everyone to attend and add their ideas and comments. Watch the website for more details and updates.

Epping’s public library is open Monday – Friday from 10 am to 8 pm and Saturday 10 to 2. For more information call 679-5944, or visit www.eppinglibrary.com.
