Community rallies around man fighting cancer

PORTSMOUTH — Two school communities came together Monday night to help raise money for Patrick Simons of Epping, who was recently diagnosed with cancer.Parents and their children from Greenland Central School and the Acorn School in Stratham kept all of the tables full in the Shanty restaurant in Portsmouth as more and more families cycled in to assist Simons’ family, in part, by eating all the chicken fingers in the restaurant’s stock.
