Williams leads Newmarket boys basketball team past Epping
At one point of Monday’s game against Newmarket High School, a shot by Epping High School’s Jimmy Riordon teetered and tottered on the edge of the backboard as if trying to decide whether or not to drop into the hoop.
It didn’t.
Nor did the game teeter Epping’s way.
In the end, it came down to the same scenario that developed the first time the teams met this year — Newmarket’s Curtis Williams.
The Mules’ senior captain scored 13 of his game-high 19 points in the fourth quarter in leading Newmarket to a 55-43 victory.
