Epping/Newmarket Sharing Football?

In an article on the Newmarket School Board budget by Melissa Lattman on Seacoast Online, the possibility is raised that Epping and Newmarket could pool players to form a single football team:
One possible new program is high school football with Epping High School. The joint Epping/Newmarket team would play at Epping. The cost to the district would be $10,000.
