Coastal Truck and Autobody Night of Thrills presented by the New England Dodge Dealers to feature several nitro powered classes
EPPING, NH – New England Dragway will welcome fuel altered pilot Lisa Coil, wife of John Force’s crew chief Austin Coil for the first time on July 11th at the Coastal Truck and Autobody Night of Thrills presented by the New England Dodge Dealers. Coil will be squaring off against the nostalgia nitro funny car of Justin Grant in a crowd pleasing match race.
“Lisa’s been driving Tom Motry’s Drastic Plastic 1948 Anglia AA/Fuel Altered for a while now and she’s recognized as one of the best altered drivers in the country,” track manager Joe Lombardo said. “This is no wimpy car either. It’s a full boogie machine and has gone deep into the 5.70’s before. Justin better have the Funny Car tuned up because it’s going to be a tough match.”
Aside from the nostalgic feeling machinery, there will be modern Nitro Harleys, and the Lagana brothers, Dom and Bobby will be racing each other in 300mph Top Fuel dragsters, there will be Pro Mods battling each other, a jet truck, a pair of jet dragsters, some wheelstander action, and a full slate of sportsman action. This promises to be the show of the season at New England Dragway.
“Last winter we really sat down and looked at the content of our big locally produced shows here at New England Dragway,” Lombardo said. “What we came out of that process with was a totally new approach to bringing our fans the best drag racing action in the country here in Epping. This show is literally going to knock people’s socks off.”
