Transportation secretary present for groundbreaking in Epping
U.S. Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood held a news conference this morning, April 17, to officially break ground on the first New Hampshire project funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
The Route 101 resurfacing project stretches from Epping to Exeter.
LaHood was joined by Gov. John Lynch, Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, Congresswoman Carol Shea Porter and Congressman Paul Hodes.
The press conference was held at the beginning of the resurfacing project on the east side of Route 101 between Route 125 and North Road in Epping.
