Crafter’s Night returns for the New Year! Join local crafter Dona Camara on Wednesday, Jan 28th at 7:00 pm for a fun new paper folding project. Make special greeting cards or frame-worthy art! Please call ahead to register.

The Friends of the Library is hosting a Senior Tea on Monday, February 9th. Adults (not just seniors) from Epping and neighboring towns are invited to share in fellowship, tea and goodies in the Lydia Ladd Room from 11:00 to 1:00.

During last summer’s reading program the children’s room at the Harvey Mitchell Memorial Library began to resemble a piece of Australia’s Great Barrier Reef. Each sea creature that graced the walls represented 150 minutes of reading! All those readers have waited 6 months to be fully recognized. Now that it’s mid-winter in New Hampshire, it’s finally summertime across the world in Australia so February’s Pajama Night will be a Beach Party to remind everyone about the fun of summer and summer reading. Children of all ages who participated in last summer’s reading program are invited for “friends, food and fun”, and to see Epping’s top readers receive their awards. The party begins at 6:30 on Friday, February 13th and will include crafts, awards, a new scavenger hunt, and stories for the little ones at 7:30. Guests are asked to bring a snack to share and either wear PJs with a summery theme or their brightest beach wear.

The library is open Monday through Friday from 10 to 8 and Saturday from 10 to 2. Call 679-5944 for more information.
