Marshalls Grand Opening In Epping March 29th

MARSHALLS TO OPEN IN EPPING

Never Pay Full Price for Fabulous

Framingham, Mass. – March, 2011 – Marshalls, one of the nation’s largest off-price retailers, will open a new store in Epping on March 29th. The 23,000 sq. ft. store will be located at the Brickyard Square Shopping Center.  The store will feature a fresh, contemporary design with a bright, easy to shop layout and a single line checkout for incredibly fast service.  Grand opening hours are 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Regular store hours will be 9:30 a.m. – 9:30 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Sundays. The store will add approximately 60 full and part-time jobs to the area.

“With the addition of the Epping store, Marshalls is meeting consumer demand for quality, designer merchandise,” says President Richard Sherr. “Our newest store will offer shoppers the same designer names they know and trust at prices well below department stores.”

Since opening its first store more than 40 years ago, the Marshalls name has become synonymous with off-price shopping.  Shoppers can find incredible savings on designer apparel for men, women and children, footwear, accessories and home merchandise, every day.  The new location will also open with a Marshalls Shoe Shop featuring designer and brand name shoes for the whole family and The CUBE, a hip, new in-store boutique of contemporary fashions.

How will the Epping Marshalls offer the latest looks for less?  Our buyers are the ultimate treasure hunters.  They have relationships with over 15,000 ever-changing vendors in 60 countries.  They speak with them daily, and unlike traditional retailers, buy much closer to the fashion season, which enables them to be smarter about trends and negotiate much better prices.

Off-price stores like Marshalls don’t have stringent guidelines on how many items they purchase; that’s why no two stores are the same.  As a result, Marshalls stores receive up to 10,000 new items each week.  It’s like visiting a whole new store every time.

Marshalls Shoe Shop

A new concept, Marshalls Shoe Shop, is an easy-to-shop shoe store, approximately 5,000 square feet, within Marshalls.  “Our exciting new Marshalls Shoe Shop offers thousands of designer shoes with new styles arriving several times each week. Just pick out your favorite style, and look for your size in the boxes under the display,” said Marshalls Spokesperson, Sonya Cosentini.

The Cube

In addition, Marshalls new high-energy in-store boutique, The CUBE, has a stylish look and feel, with a color scheme, music and lighting unique from the rest of the store.  The boutique-inspired

department allows young women to easily shop for fashion-forward designer clothes and accessories at amazing prices.  Rather than being organized by size, apparel in The CUBE is organized by style, with coordinating accessories nearby, so shoppers can create a stylish, head-to-toe outfit more easily.

A New Great Store and Neighbor

Marshalls has created strong national and local partnerships with charitable organizations around the country by supporting Domestic Violence Prevention, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

About Marshalls
Marshalls is one of the nation’s leading off-price family retailers with more than 890 stores spanning 42 states and Puerto Rico. With the addition of the new Epping store, Marshalls will operate 53 stores in the Boston market.  For store locations, call 1-800-MARSHALLS, or visit Marshalls on the Web at www.MarshallsOnline.com.

EPPING— Leddy Center director Elaine Gatchell presents the Moss Hart/George S. Kaufman hilarious comedy of the 1930’s, “You Can’t Take It With You” for two weekends and one Wednesday, March 23- April 1, at Leddy Center in Epping.

This great comedy starred Lionel Barrymore and James Stewart in the 1938 movie of the same name. The movie won 2 Academy Awards, including Best Picture, in 1938. It is the story of the Sycamore family, who at first seems completely mad.  But it is not long before we realize that if they are mad, the rest of the world is madder.  In contrast to these delightful people are the unhappy and very rich Kirbys.  The plot shows how Tony, attractive young son of the Kirbys (played by Gregory Johnson of Epping), falls in love with Alice Sycamore (played by Hilary Webster of Raymond), and brings his parents to dine at the Sycamore home on the wrong evening.  In the end, the very stuffy Mr. Kirby (played by Greg deZarn-O’Hare of Fremont) is converted to the happy madness of the Sycamores, especially since he happens in during a visit by an ex-Grand Duchess, (played by Elizabeth Holcomb of Exeter), who earns her living as a waitress at Child’s Restaurant in New York City.  Mix with this the manufacture of fireworks in the Sycamore basement, Grandpa (played by Dr. Henry Ferrell of Exeter) who is 24 years behind in paying his income taxes, and numerous other goings on, this show is destined to tickle your funny bone.

Showtimes are Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30pm and Sundays and one Wednesday ma tinee, March 28, at 2:00pm. Tickets are $18. and $16. and are available on line at www.leddycenter.org, or by visiting or calling the Leddy box office, Monday through Friday, from 3:00pm to 5:00pm, at 603-679-2781.Leddy Center is a 501C3 non-profit NH Arts and Education Organization.
