Epping is a small town located at the crossroads of New Hampshire highways 101 and 125. Because of this, the town has jokingly been referred to as “The center of the universe.” However, in the last five year, major expansion along that intersection has really brought the town into the position of being a hub of business for the surrounding area. A sensational murder in 2006 also thrust the town into the spotlight, albeit for undesired reasons.
EppingNews aims to be the place that Epping residents go for news about their town. There is a trend towards hyperlocal news media coverage, and we hope that this site can be another example of that. We’ll bring you the stories about Epping that the larger news outlets carry, but we also will be looking to bring you our own stories and coverage. Community is going to be a big part of the site, as we encourage your comments and feedback on the articles as they are posted. We will also be looking for citizens and perhaps even high school students to file reports and stories on items in the community.
